The story of the family estate began in 2011 with the planting of 50 dka of vineyards, and in 2014 the first Zornitza Family Estate branded wines appeared. They introduce guests to Bulgaria with local varieties of Shiroka Melnishka loza and Early Melnik (Melnik 55), Melnishki rubin and Mavrud, but also work with international varieties such as Petit Verdot, Cinsaut, Grenache and more. The estate also has an eco-farm, thus closing the loop completely by using the products in the own restaurant.
The area in which the vines are planted is extremely suitable for their cultivation. The soils are sandy and permeable. The vineyards are situated on slopes for even better permeability and a better sun aspect. The grape harvest begins in mid-August and lasts until the end of October.
The unique taste of fruits and vegetables, grown with love and skill in the eco farm of Zornitza Family Estate, delights the palate of those who want to eat not only tasty, but also healthy. In the aEstivum restaurant, dishes are prepared with a bouquet of fresh herbs from the own gardens, locally grown artichokes are used and guests can discover what real pure honey tastes like.
