The museum exhibits an early Christian basilica with preserved mosaic carpets from the 5th century, as well as exhibits from prehistory to the Middle Ages. A part of the museum’s rich collection of ancient tomb sculpture is also displayed, including the extremely characteristic for the Middle Strum region marble tombstones with portrait images. The museum also has an open-air part – an early Christian complex with a 4th century basilica and an ancient street. Interesting educational programs for children and adults are held in special rooms.
