The Church of St. George was built in 1857 and is a three-aisled stone pseudo-basilica that is dug into the ground. Here you can see a painted black devil riding a horse and shooting a crossbow, as well as the image of a sinner with a burnt breast. St. Christopher is painted with a dog’s head, and besides him there are figures of many prophets and saints depicted in many and bright colours. Many pilgrims come to this miraculous place hoping that God, St. George and Reverend Stoina will hear their prayers for healing, procreation, work, family and other life problems. It is believed that anyone who embraces the centuries-old plane tree in the church yard will be healed. And whoever swings on the cradle tied to it will be healed of infertility.
