The Melvino project started in 2009 with 200 dka of vineyards in the village of Kromidovo and produces limited wines from local varieties such as Shiroka Melnishka lozaand Sandanski Misket. The first wines were released in 2013, and all series are limited and receive recognition in Bulgaria and abroad.
Melvino wine project was born in 2009 when two families joined forces to promote unique Bulgarian grape varieties in the area of the village of Kromidov. They planted 200 dka of vineyards with local varieties such as Shiroka Melnishka loza, Early Melnik , Melnik 1300 and Sandanski Misket.
The first Melvino-branded wines were released in 2013, and Melvino's Reserva Melnik 55 has received acclaim in Bulgaria and abroad. The wines created by them are in strictly limited series, which introduce wine lovers to the characteristics and uniqueness of the Bulgarian varieties grown in the Struma Valley.
