Damianitza Winery was one of the first wineries established in the region, its history began in 1940 until it was privatized in 1997 and from the following year its successful revival by Philip Harmandzhiev began. He turned the business model around and started producing high quality wines for the domestic market. The winery has its own vineyards located in the nearby villages around Damianitza, some of which are organically farmed. Since 2007 the winery has been ISO 9001:2000 certified.
The vineyards there are bathed in sun and produce juicy and richly fruity grapes. In this unspoilt area behind the 'clown', the first vintage of No Man's Land red wine was born in 1998, made from vines that grew freely in this No Man's Land. With the Uniqato series, the Damianitza team aims to showcase classy wines from little-known varieties, but with an inimitable style.
The wines produced in Damianitza winery are exported to a large number of countries such as Hungary, America, Holland, Switzerland, Finland, Belgium, Czech Republic and others.
